Consumer Stock
Generally consumer stock is in close relationship with those manufacturers who produce goods for immediate consumption after being released on the market. For example, there are companies whose target lines of production are the pharmaceuticals. Pharmaceutical products are targeted towards consumers in order to satisfy a necessity, most of the times an immediate medical necessity.

On the share market, consumer stocks seem to be among the main preferences on the list of the investors. Usually, consumer stock has under its umbrella necessary products targeted towards the general consumer, products which will always be needed (food manufacturers mainly). When dealing with consumer stock, it is always of major importance to consider the company’s general strategy, whether it has a well defined place on the market (the potential risk factor), and the general marketing costs. If the company manages to keep its place on the market while still making a nice profit without having to involve outrageous marketing costs (advertising), this means it is a safe enough investment tool one can choose.
