What is NYSE beta index?

NYSE stands for New York Stock exchange and beta means the covariance of a given stock in relation to the rest of the stock market. On the market there’s a standard and a poor stock index whenever the beta coefficient is higher then the actual stock then it is considered as volatile then the market if the beta is lower then the market then it’s not considered volatile.
