What is percent profit?

Percent profits expresses the profit or the loss in percentage what the investor might suffer. This value is made out of the money which has been originally paid for the stocks and it also includes the commission which has been paid to the broker to finalize the trade. For example the investor buys 100 shares of a stock of his choosing for which he has paid $1 for each and also he had paid $10 as a commission. And the shares rise to $1.40 then the profit percent is of 39.6 %.
